A little about me

01.

I’m shyanne

I was born and raised here in Illinois, being landlocked in the middle of America, it has helped me to create and imagine. Some call it daydreaming. My lovely husbands name is Gabe. We have two cats, Jake from State farm is the tabby and Leo is the white one!

Relationship with images

I love to see the details in people and nature that may have been overlooked. For over 10 years I was a painter, and I wanted to expand into my hidden interest of photography. To describe my style I'd say it is filmy, bold, candid and romantic.

Photography

If people watching was an acceptable hobby, it would be mine. Humans and animals have such fun personalities. It started with just wanting to take pictures of sunsets, friends, pets and mountains, but I was instantly drawn to it. In the fall of 2023, I re-branded from painting to photography. The transition has been seamless and so fun!

Interesting Fact

Not only am I a photographer, I am also a certified wilderness first responder! It seemed like the perfect way to channel my spirit of helping people and the outdoors, to have more opportunities to photograph nature.
